Can I use a .22 lr pistol?

this is a good question.
I can put 10 rounds in the 10 ring (something smaller than the human eye) at 50 feet with my .22 pistol.

The difference is renew vs rectify.

The-powers-that-be have been using "renew" and "recertify" interchangeably since Monkeyface Partytits pushed through the first unConstitutional infringement on our Rights in 2013.
What evidence do you have that this is true, other than a lawyer claiming it to try to torpedo a lawsuit against this tyrannical state?

I don't support mandatory anything as a form of gatekeeping to keep someone from carrying anything..

But im glad counties are pretty much saying fuck NYS and finding stuff as the bare minimum to try and figure out a way to "comply" with the possible new garbage CCIA.

Agreed. I'm still waiting for all the dust to settle before I jump in and apply for my permit. I was ready to when Bruen came down, but then I hit the wall with this CCIA crap. Yeah, I have my hunting license, which frees me from that aspect, but I still hate the requirement for those that don't. And I still refuse to open up my social media to them.

Here's the insidious part of this whole scheme: Now that all pistol permits are essentially carry permits, the state government has been able to impose more egregious training and background check requirements while making actually carrying a pistol legally impossible through "sensitive area" designations (directly rebuking SCOTUS Bruen decision).

Yes. NYS essentially passed a law that is openly defiant. Carry permits are useless and you need to jump through even more hoops to get one. I wonder why Thomas didn’t give us a broader decision anticipating this move from NYS?
