Interesting. I wonder if it is like the G36 with the receiver being almost entirely polymer or if there is an embedded chassis.

This is what I'm wondering.. especially if they are claiming under 7lbs
"Under 7 lbs" is not especially light. My DD with a Gov't profile barrel weighs about 6.2lbs.
But then again the G36, standard version, weighs in at a hefty 8lbs. I am assuming that is including the integral optic.
Now that I think about it I don't think there are any comparable rifles that are as light as an AR15. Bren 2 is 6.9 lbs. Where the hell are all these polymer guns getting all this excess weight?.......... Ah right, gas pistons! LONG LIVE THE STONER INTERNAL GAS PISTON!
Under 7 is still pretty impressive, hell the H&K 416 is at almost 9lbs I believe (but I'm guess that's the "systems" weight not just a bone stroke 416)
