Hey neighbor. You are snowshoeing, a mile from my house, I'm on Gartman rd
Always gotta be first...Let me be the first to say welcome Brian.
Nice to you see man. Been a bit sparse lately.Always gotta be first...
Cause if you aint first, youre last!
Welcome from a fellow OP resident. Just curious, if you got your CCW; is it Unrestricted or not, and how long did it take?
Oh, and beware of OPPD Chief Pacholec (who lives on Gartman Rd. if I'm not mistaken). IMHO, he's a lying snake in the grass. I live on Gartman rd, and the chief loves about a quarter mile from me
not a friend of either, and have had my permit since 95, after getting out of the army. And I will stay clear of both, thanks.Atticus:
If you're on personally friendly terms with your neighbors, Chief Pacholec, or Detective Payne, good for you. If not, and you are applying for a CCW, just be aware. In my own experience, Pacholec tried to prevent me from getting a permit because I complained about the PPO taking longer than the 6 months allowed for under NY law. Then, years later when a man who had threatened my life on multiple occasions showed up at my home uninvited, I ordered him to stay away. I was armed on my own property but never brandished a weapon. Pacholec wrote to the PPO demanding that my permit be revoked because I had the nerve to use "profanity" when I ordered that man to stay off of my property, AND, because I dared to have ammunition for my CCW on me at that time.
The Judge laughed, and reinstated my permit immediately. Chief Pacholec lied to my face and denied ever even writing the letter, because he thought I'd never even see the letter, - which I now have a copy of even though he tried to stop me from getting it using the town attorney, John Bailey.
Like I said, - a snake in the grass IMHO. That's my $0.02, and I'll leave it there. Welcome to nygunforum.com. YMMV.
