The NH police took over the old Gander Mountain building... I heard some rumors that NH didn't want a large sporting goods store selling guns in their territory. Again -- rumors.
It was odd too, because they had some kind of "fire" in the building years back, but it didn't do hardly any damage (smell/smoke). I always thought that was ironic as well. They were closed for almost a year too. When they reopened, the store was not even close to what it was like prior inventory-wise.
That town is uppity-up too... so it doesn't surprise me one bit. My family told me that they just don't like how that town is running things.
Oh, yeah, and supposedly taxes are like insane.
