No idea about permit timelines in NYC, but my guess, assuming that you're not well connected or have a lot of money to spend on Attorneys to take care of this in your behalf, since it is NYC your going to be waiting a while. I would suggest sitting back, crack a cold one, and bide your time here while you wait. Again, welcome.
