Agreed on the 110 platform. Passed on a police marked bull barrel 30-06 once and always regretted it.Savage continues to put out some outstanding rifles and The upgrades to the mod. 110 platform is a perfect example. I’m not too crazy about the stock that the newest version is offered in, but that’s an easy fix.
It’s good to see Bergara continuing to step up with their B14 offerings. It’s a good solid rifle for it price point.
I’ve read some good things proceeding CVA’s new rifle offerings. Hopefully some future real world reviews will be forthcoming.
I’m excited to see Ruger has Finally started production on the anxiously awaited Marlin mod. 336 , starting with the classic tried and true 30/30. Me personally, I’m hoping to see the .357/.38 closely follow.
ya, I got a JM 336-30/30 as well, its my favorite gun. I also have a RemLin 1895 that has developed the dreaded marlin jam.I am not ready to pull the trigger (no pun) on a Ruger Marlin, but I am glad they are slowly bringing back the originals. I have a Remlin guide gun in 45/70. With all I put into getting it working right I dont think I would get what I have into it compared to the JMs and now the new model. I have two JM 336s, so same situation. I am hoping they bring back the Cowboy Limited models, specifically a 94 in 45 colt.
I had the jam issue. Sent it right to the gunsmith (CNY Gunworks in Vernon). Issue seems to have been resolved and the gun cycles flawlessly.ya, I got a JM 336-30/30 as well, its my favorite gun. I also have a RemLin 1895 that has developed the dreaded marlin jam.
The 1895 has Alaskan Peep sites, Big loop lever, flyweight gate, but that jamming bullshit has to get fixed. Im not sure how to do that
If anyone has a suggestion(s) on how to fix that, let me know, PLEASE
Damn, I didn’t know that those guys were still operating. I need to bring an old Remington 1100 that I need work done on over there.I had the jam issue. Sent it right to the gunsmith (CNY Gunworks in Vernon). Issue seems to have been resolved and the gun cycles flawlessly.
They've been broken into so many times they keep their guns locked up . So there's no window shopping there anymore but they stay swamped with smith work.Damn, I didn’t know that those guys were still operating. I need to bring an old Remington 1100 that I need work done on over there.
I have brought a few guns there. Always done good work, but yes it will take a couple months sometimes to get work done. They've been broken into so many times they keep their guns locked up . So there's no window shopping there anymore but they stay swamped with smith work.
any idea what they did to it ???I had the jam issue. Sent it right to the gunsmith (CNY Gunworks in Vernon). Issue seems to have been resolved and the gun cycles flawlessly.
From my understanding it is something to do with the bolt getting caught on the load gate spring. They decreased tension on the spring and it doesn't get caught anymore. There may be more to it I am sure. I haven't had an issue since.any idea what they did to it ???
