The custom competition 10/22 looks pretty awesome and price point is within reach of average gun buyer. Well done Ruger. Not sure that SR1911 was the right way to go, but I suppose time will tell. Personally, I wouldn’t mind seeing a custom Mark IV come out from them.

I shot a stock SR1911 and was impressed with the accuracy and how quickly the sights settled back in after the shot. I think the price on the custom is going to be tough to swallow - there's a lot of really good proven competition 1911's in that range.

The first one is a 10/22 Competition Rifle that features an all-new CNC-machined receiver with an integrated 30 MOA optics rail made from 6061 aluminum.

I was thinking of building my 10/22 depending on the street price it may not be worth it to do.

Yeah, that 10/22 grabbed my attention also. But it seems a bit rich for what you are getting.
And yeah, the 30 MOA rail seems pointless.

I really, really like that Volquartsen VM-22 but at $1400 it's a damn sight more dear than this Ruger Custom Shop model.
