This is crap. It was 30 years ago and things were different back then. Of course no details at all so there’s not much to judge on.
Any Politician targeted to have their careers destroyed are invariably accused of sexual misconduct, often years if not decades after the time of the alleged incident; Look at all those that have been accused without any evidence, witnesses, or corroborating statements, but they MUST be believed!...yea, nah, I'm not biting.

30 years ago, there were no cell phones with video cameras, no text messaging, no email, etc.
Also 30 years ago, things were much different... we were a bit of a more "normal" society. Along with what was considered socially "acceptable" practices.

These constant calls of "sexual misconduct", getting some poor woman up there to make false claims... all it does is make people start questioning these accusations. It undermines the whole idea of "believing the victim" and makes it that much harder for actual instances to get investigated.

Here's how I look at it
If something really happened to you it sucks and you should have the right to go after someone. Just not this long after. I've never been it that situation and don't know anyone that has but if you didn't come forward right afterwards then it's your fault for waiting or not reporting it (obviously not your fault for it happening to you). At this point I see it as a money grab or possible revenge after they backed out of some deal you had.
