I would not care to have the “Church” attached to the Government. Can anyone imagine what the taxes would be? Plus a lot of “mandatory” legislative actions. I like it as is. It’s voluntary…so far

Our paper money and coins say "In God We Trust" which pretty much covers most Cristian beliefs or religions in this country. No one has to be or is forced to be a "follower" and few to none in our government are shoving religion on people, or saying we have to be believers, and there is our separation between church and state. Yes but for the record....let this show as where the state of the US is going. The Establishment Clause deals with forbidding the gov from mandating a national religion. Also, it is fully lawful for gov functions to begin with a prayer. Quick explanation of opening prayers claim I just made.
I am well aware of this. My point is simple, seems like many are upset about this dirty prayer being said. One way around this outrage of many, no prayers of any kind.

If taking an oath of office, now days I expect one could probably put his/her hand on a Good Housekeeping cook book and get sworn in. Considering how government runs the country (certainly We The People don't have much to do with running the country any longer) I see little to no evidence of religion or God being much if any influence regarding decision making. It seems government reps go out of their way to not include religion or God in their decisions, and there is no law forcing them to do so.
