They have ruled in multiple courts that the function of the licensing is to regulate guns for safety and that centers of higher population require and are afforded further restrictions than lower population areas.

Good. I live in a decidedly low population area, so I should have no restrictions at all. Sullivan and un-SAFE specifically should not apply to me. Come to think of it, neither should the NFA or GCA.

We have the thousands of people. All the members of the various gun groups. The groups that people pay money to be a part of. Why aren't they doing amazing things?
Some gun groups are doing good things ive heard. I see the SAF winning cases in smaller courts. GOA has been taking cases to court.
Their problem is they are small and must work smart. They cannot afford taking big cases through to the SCOTUS. And when they do, the SCOTUS wont hear it.
The NRA is just a money making busuness that knows if they win big cases, people will stop giving money.
They use about 9% of their donations on court cases and fighting for gun rights. And they pick easy cases that effect few people.
The NRA has spent over 200 million dollars on lobbying congress over the last 20 years. They have spent almost 50 million on political ads in the same time and 4-5 million on politicians directly. Then, they pay their top employees millions. Theres not much left for court cases after that.
All that money going to politicians and we still got the SafeAct and many other gun laws nationwide.
The NRA is a money making business with no intrest in fighting gun laws. That would lose them money.
I know alot of 1 isdue NRA members. If the NRA were to fight and destroy "assault weapons bans", the guys who pay their dues because they dont want an assault weapons ban would stop paying. Nope, they cannot win any big cases, they would lose money.

I was out with some guys last night. We talked a little bit of politics. One of them had recently had lunch with one of our state senators. He said that if everyone with a pistol permit had voted R last time around Cuomo would have lost the election. This isn’t speculation. It is a fact. Unfortunately gun owners would rather call him and bitch and complain rather than get off their asses and vote. Sad.

Here's the reality. A big reason Democrats don't take gun owners/gun groups seriously is because of this partisan garbage. They believe that there is no reason to support gun owners because no matter what they do 2A groups will tell them to vote Republican for reasons totally unrelated to 2A. They come right out and say that and have for years.
Only about half of eligible people vote and of those that do most vote the party line. With a better than 2-1 enrollment advantage the NY GOP is done as a political force in the state.

He has owned and used guns sinse he was a child.
He has hunted for decades, he has dozens of guns, hes had his PP for decades and carries a G19 every day.
He was very upset about the SafeAct and chose to register his 5 "assault weapons" after the SafeAct.
He has a "Repeal The SafeAct" sign in his yard and is outspoken about gun laws in the state.
However, he has voted Democrat his whole life.
Why you ask??
Because he is a Teamster member and just shrugs his shoulders and says, "thats just who we support"......meaning the democrats.
He voted for Shumer and Cuomo without question.
Then, he rattles on for hours about the SafeAct and 10 round limits and the lack of "stand your ground" laws and PP restrictions and 50 ounce limit and on and on and on.......shaking his fist.
When you explain that he is voting against his wants and rights, he just scoffs.
Heres the kicker.......he retired from truck driving 4 years agobut STILL votes democrat because.......its all hes ever done.

Lots of people in the same situation. They vote R or D because that is their party. They don’t research candidates positions or past voting records of the candidates. Just R or D.
