I'm here for you Doc. What I'm still completely bummed about is that Rabbitt lost to Metzger in the State Senate race. An ocean of blue in Albany now. I take solace only in the fact that maybe if the corruption gets too great people will realize that a single party rule in Albany is not a good idea and the tide will begin to turn.
Then I'm reminded that most gun owners in this state are Fudds and people are generally idiots (present company excluded) and kind of want to slit my wrists.

If you look at the election results there's a lot of bad juju going down throughout this country. Right now I only see maybe Alaska and Wyoming and a few southern states like Alabama and Mississippi as being solidly Republican. The cancer is spreading and it's spreading fast. Hell, Texas almost went blue last night and likely will the next go around.

Yeah, when Texas and Utah are starting to turn, it's time to worry. Our town has typically been Republican-run, even though we're in a blue state. This year the D candidate for mayor, and both D town council candidates, won. It was close, but they won. And my House member Leonard Lance lost his seat to a D.

I am a true believer in term limits. Make all offices 4 year terms and 2 terms max. This applies to all offices, local , State or federal. Once you have served your 2 terms, you can never run for any political office again . Also you can never run for one office while occupying another. To do that you must surrender your current position.

Two terms I can agree with. But no other elected position won't fly. Must change office to continue to serve.
Also, if convicted of any political, election, or corruption charges, mandatory jail time, relinquish any pension and restitution to the people they were elected to serve.
