No experience with the light, but the article reads like a paid promotional ad.

Is it as good? maybe but probably not

Is it a better bang for the buck? Perhaps, but maybe not

Durability? Unknown...

It's a roll of the dice. It's surely better than nothing. However it will likely not measure up to the more well known tried and true brands over the course of time.
Buy once cry once, or hope this is a respectable bang for the buck

The 9379 candela rating is too low. 1200 lumens at 9379 candela means the beam is all flood with no hotspot/throw. Ideally you want some throw to push through a back-lit area, headlights, someone shining their own light at you ect.
Other than that the construction and other specs seem consistent with something like a Streamlight which is fine.
Although Streamlight offers models with better beam patterns than this.
Also given that it takes 2 CR132 batteries it will be a large light.
