1. Thanks, I already do.
2. I don't often wear an orange cape when I do.
3. Watch him go to prison for manslaughter for shooting him in the back
Not saying I abhor his response, just my current faith in the justice system. He is an off duty cop. All that he did will be found more than fine.

Shouldn't need a badge for that.He is an off duty cop. All that he did will be found more than fine.
I'm pretty sure he did.Shouldn't need a badge for that.
The guy looked like he was getting ready to execute that chick. Good shoot all day.
The cop wouldn't know if she would survive when he fired. But he knew she sure as hell wouldn't if he didn't.I'm pretty sure he did.
I think that the murdered barber in the article is actually the "girl" seen in the video. The barber probably just had long hair.It also sounds like one of the barbers was killed, but it doesn't sound like it was the one giving the cop his haircut, so he may have saved her life.
Could be she was a he, but the article said the murdered barber was not the who cutting his hair.I think that the murdered barber in the article is actually the "girl" seen in the video. The barber probably just had long hair.
After Ortega allegedly committed the other two shootings Saturday, he entered the barbershop and fatally shot 33-year-old Rafael Jeffers, authorities said.
I didn't post that he was an off-duty cop because he was special. I posted it just as a late fact in the story. Anybody getting their haircuts could have done the same and they would get in no trouble either.Shouldn't need a badge for that.

Your funeral I guess.2. I don't often wear an orange cape when I do.
I didn't think you meant the badge made a difference in the level of justification. But it may make a huge difference in the response from the justice system (even though it shouldn't).I didn't post that he was an off-duty cop because he was special. Almost makes you want to wear that barber smock everywhere LOL.stayed calm and kept the gun out of sight until safe to deploy, good shoot
I hope one day we have National Reciprocity so I am able to carry everywhere.
Nobody should be attempting to render aid when the tactical situation is that uncertain. The cop did great. He reacted quickly neutralizing the threat, had great situational awareness, said call the police, rolled the guy over, checked the door again, and said don’t move.
the only problem I could see arising is he didn’t ID as a cop, but he wasn’t at that point and he didn’t render aid. Some police departments are requiring that now from what I understand. All in all a great shoot and a great example of what should happen. Too bad the other guy died, but a POS aid dead now that killed three others.
And the first to receive aid would be the innocent victim, the shooter would be last.Nobody should be attempting to render aid when the tactical situation is that uncertain.
The last thing you want to do is have your hands busy applying a tourniquet when this guys buddies burst through the door to finish the job.
I agree with rendering aid, but first you need to secure the scene. Just like you wouldn't start first aid inside a burning building.
