Well my son has been in a few different countries in the past couple weeks sending us the price per liter at the pump and they were all 5 bucks a gallon less than what you saw. I went to a source using AAA data in USD per Gallon and confirmed we are more fucked than most.
I saw something similar around the corner from my house a few days ago. Wonder if Mobil controls their price boards remotely. Sign had regular and diesel matching at $6.09......for days.

Those were published today with a 26 Jun 2022 reference for international and 25 Jun for US and indicated they used AAA data. I assume they do it for a living and I doubt they would lie.Did your son go to Venezuela, kuwait and Saudi arabia? That is not an accurate representation of gasoline cost average around the world.
Those pictures you posted are pretty obsolete like South Africa and Mexico.
Mexico is as of today is $4.4 dollars average. Just checked local Sunday paper.

Here you can see US is in the middle of the pack higher than the East and middle East but better than china, brazil, canada, and most obviously moat 1st world and European nations.
I just came from thr UK, france, spain and portugal from some business and then adventure motorcycle trip and these prices here seem pretty accurate with what I saw. I think I have some pics from the helmet camera. Let me find out.

Those folks are bleeding like us or more. The one good thing in some countries in Europe is that public transport and trains are light years ahead of the us so many people are turning to use more those that are fast, clean and reliable.
Let me give you and example madrid-seville that is a 5.30 hrs drive is a 1:50 h train ride from downtown to downtown.
Get up, go to the cafeteria cart, have a expresso and you are there. Security is also very fast. No long lines or TSA type of abuse.
Makes the airport/flight ordeal obsolete technology.

I am not wrong, I just did a repost. Go call them if you got a beef. I did a check and you a likely correct about AAA and international pricing. So I looked a bit further. A quick Google check of international prices found that the best USA finished was 75th. Yeah, we suck now with Brandon, and I don't disagree some of socialist western Europe sucks more but comparisons there is never a bragging point.
