As we all know, California has an "approved pistol list." They have their own criteria for approving pistols for sale in California. It appears that all existing approvals will expire in 2018. After that, barring some change in the laws, new pistols will need to have microstamping in order to get on the approved list:

At stake is the ability to purchase newly manufactured semi-auto handguns in the state.

In 2014, just after the California Department of Justice began enforcing the mandate that new pistols submitted for approval to the state’s firearm roster incorporate microstamping capabilities, there were some 1,152 approved models. That roster has since constricted to 744 as legacy handguns, certified for a five-year period, cannot meet the new requirement. All the models currently on the list are scheduled to lose their certification in 2018.​

'Lawyering' is not one of my skills, but how is the new "assault weapons" legislature any different than what's been upheld in CA before? Seems like a losing case, given the precedent. Limits on magazine capacity are consistently being found constitutional as well. Given my relatively recent skepticism about the NRA's motives, I think they're just trying to reenergize CA gun owners who've given up and stopped giving them money.

If I recall correctly, NY was at the TOP of the NRA's donation list at one time. Personally, I will support SCOPE at this point, as "all politics is local" and SCOPE at least is local (to us) and has accomplishments in NY they can cite.

There is nothing dangerous or unusual about Gen 4 Glocks. So any law / restrictions against them is an infringement of 2nd Amend.

Here is living proof the NRA couldn't give a rats ass about NYS regardless of the fact that we possess one if not the largest chapters of the NRA (NYSRPA) AND we give a boatload on money to them.

WE were supposed to be 1st on the list of legislative corrective measures NOT California but of course California gets top billing from the organization with the biggest Ponzi scheme in the nation.

Anyone who listens to WYSL's 2nd Amendment show notice that ever since SCOPE cozied up to the NRA the radio show mo longer trumpets SCOPE anymore ? Now they talk up GOA ?

Screw the NRA. They've done NOTHING for us and it's abundantly clear they never will.

2) Why aren't they challenging everything together?
3) Didn't CA already uphold unconstitutional bans like these?
4) They will of course lose
5) The end game is in 5 years hopefully Trump has replaced 1-3 more Justices
6) I really want our rights back. Kolbe, this and MA's lawsuit seem like our last chance. After that, rights gone forever.

BTW, both NYSRPA and CCDL stated that had something planned for after Gorsuch was nominated? CCDL specifically stated they would refile cert? What happened?

Why aren't they challenging aw AND mags? Two separate lawsuits is a terrible strategy. Odds are one, if any will be denied cert.
