South Korea considers a nuclear arsenal to counter the North

I say YES YES YES.

Let's see that little FAT FREAK sweat.

And force him to consider how many nations he's willing to piss off.

After all, the USA might be led by an "Obama" again someday, who'd not a lift a finger to save our Asian Allies.

And as for CHINA, they've been content to let North Korea be a Boil On Our Ass for decades. They had their chance to work with us.

(President Trump should supply these Nations with Nukes immediately. And then use the threat of adding TAIWAN to the list as an Ace-in-the-Hole in future negotiations.)

Why would we give them nukes? Are you unaware of the fact we have nuclear subs? Probably at least (2) at this moment within striking range, with enough payload to completely wipe N.Korea off the world map!

Arming those nations would be an escalation that would set off unintended consequences which are unnecessary. We hold all the cards, that's the way we like it and the way it will be for the foreseeable future!

AMERICA should not be the WORLD POLICE.

Let Japan and South Korea bear the responsibility for their own fates for a change.

And after all, is the USA arming our Allies so different than what has already happened in North Korea ? WHO ARMED THEM ? And would those parties have armed North Korea if they knew the USA would arm its Allies in retaliation ?

The United States is not the world police! Doesn't mean we don't flex our military might to protect our interests. But that's apples and oranges...

Nukes are a finality you can't retreat from, we don't need to give nukes to anyone, Not anymore than we would hand over our stealth technology and advanced missle systems currently under development. We have enough conventional arms to pound N.Korea into dust without nukes, and we would gladly supply them to anyone attacked, of course on credit ; )

And proposing to arm Japan in the manner you prescribe is just a bit premature, we aren't going to let that happen in the foreseeable future I can assure you.

So for the matter at hand, Japan, the world's third largest economy... The U.S. has vested interest in protecting and keeping stable, yeah, we will fight their fight unfortunately, but those little fuckers can fight pretty good on their own as well, is why we nuked them in the first place. Will certainly he interesting to keep watch on all the Sabre rattling...

So that North Korea could get nuked, and we wouldn't be the ones doing it.

If S Korea, or Japan launches a U.S. made nuke that they bought years previously in response to an attack, it is a very different thing than if we launch one in response to an attack on them.

I said no, but I fully understand why they want them, given what NK is doing. They may be thinking long term given where things are going if in five years they lose 100% confidence that the US nuclear deterrent is their deterrent they need their own nukes.

You castrate NK this goes away.

In any case as for selling them I say no. I wouldn't even want the US to sell nukes to its best buddy canada because it just has nothing to gain by it. Who knows if 10-20 years down the line some nutty PM gets in control and starts waving his schlong around. There's no gain from it.

Actually, nothing prevents having a conventional precision warhead on an ICBM except cost, and scaring the crap out of people who watch for them in other countries.

8000 miles, 30 minutes, one shot one kill (or a few dozen hangers on maybe).....

A B2 would also be a good delivery mechanism.

The ultimate hack would be if they can somehow get one of his launching missiles to land right back on top of him during one of the live view events.

The USA should have threatened to supply South Korea with Nukes a decade ago, and then China would have stopped Kim Jong-un instantly.

I'd supply Japan with a few Short-Range Nukes first. That would send a message to Beijing.

The problem supplying Japan with nukes might be getting them to accept them.

If they really wanted them they could probably have them in 6 months on their own.

Last time we let some jerks sneak attack us it took 4 years and hundreds of thousand of lives.

what I am in favor of is, next time that little shit launches a missile, as soon as that missile leaves their territory, we shoot it out of the air. If we really have to ability to shoot down a ICBM, I think now would be a good time to let the world know we can take out their missiles

We could easily statoin 4 attack and 2 bommers suds of S Korean and Japan and maybe a B1 B2 squadron there if anything we should have the Yal-1 flying cover waiting for the next test and blast one of his test missle out of the sky. Then tweet "We would like to thank North Korea for participating in a testing of our new missile interceptor."
