The idea that you must succumb to an outlandish "judgement" before being able to appeal it is ludicrous.
What if you were given the death penalty, would you have to let them kill you before you appeal?
And seizing assets before the appeals process is exhausted is just plain theft.
NY continues to demonstrate how they are a tyrannical and lawless State. By ignoring the Constitution and acting like dictators they remove any semblance of authority they may have had and become nothing more than terrorists.

NYS is a "mega-loser state" ... even if Trump wanted to sell and leave, who would buy? Developers like Kevin O'Leary are not investing in this state. NYC is going to decay into oblivion. A large proportion of Wall Street traders work outside of NYC, beyond the reach of James.

Isn't the State declaring that, because he overvalued his property to get loans, he somehow defrauded the State of tax revenue? Or some bullshit like that.
Maybe they expected him to pay tax based on the value declared for the loan?
If this stands he should immediately cancel any rents in his buildings, kick out the tenants, and have the buildings demolished. Tax on empty property is nowhere near the same amount as actual structures, and having no businesses in NY means no corporate tax either. He could then sit back and laugh as huge chunks of NYC remain completely empty.
