Once upon a time in a forum long gone before, a company, called Dark Stain (yours truly coined term) made a bold claim about the lack of SAFE Act compliance regarding methods used alleging they had received de facto proof from the NYSP regarding such. Dark Stain claimed that only they had the officially approved methods in order to drum up business. As guessed no proof ever materialized and was negated directly from the NYSP.

I've seen the Siaga AKs that have traditional rifle stocks on them and the trigger group moved back so it works with that stock they look really good and not all goofy like some of these rifles they "Convert to Compliant " with these goofy stocks. I don't see why one if those would be illegal

That sucks. These gun manufacturers are more than capable of designing a new weapon superior to the ones all these liberals want to ban. Most of these weapons are 50+ years old technology. The keep attacking guns and putting bans on cosmetics. Cant have a pistol grip.. Fuck You New York I will carve a fucking pistol grip out of wood if I want a pistol grip.

I doubt it. Being in PA they'd have a hard time moving a sporter AK at that price when its right next to the "fully featured" Century AKs for $700.
Even though I'd personally take a Saiga Sporter of Century Arms garbage any day.

I just called the shop, SPAR Firearms in Mechanicsburg PA, about the Saiga. They want $815 for it. They used to go for what? $400 something?

Mind posting your cz/vz 58? It's an excellent alternative with a good sized area to drop in stripper clips when the bolt is held open. Identical to an ak in looks and overall still fairly practical.

One sec sadly I sold my FUAC FUNY blaster but I have some pics on my computers and a video of me popping off.

Honestly I love comblock guns and I wish I never got rid of my vz, it honestly is so much nicer than AKs (only negative is the safety is ass backwards)

A VZ with a locked magazine would definitely be my 1st choice if I was looking for something like that.
An overpriced Saiga (unconverted) or a VEPR with a goofed up stock would be a very close 2nd choice.
Of course, both statements assume an SKS is already in the safe. I'd still like to pick up a Yugo myself.

yeah i lucked out the VZ was still going for 399 and the gun shop did the work for me for 100 so i got it for 499 it was the best option and i miss that gun :/

It's funny my first gun purchase was a Saiga x39, got it from herbphilipsons, I knew nothing about the gun and nothing about aks really and had some college refund money burning a hole in my pocket, I paid 649 out the door and now they are going close to a grand on gun broker. I wish I could find a .308 Saiga now.
