Then they build a data base that they can use to cross reference your name for any reason at all. It's not going to be just for buying pot folks. I'll bet that they will soon make it a law to show id when buying beer, wine or any alcohol and then run your name through that data base and come after your guns. They will do the same for medications. This is complete government overreach. Responsible gun owners already know not to get drunk or high when using a firearm. They are automatically assuming that you are irresponsible and will use your firearms when you are drunk or high. This is the way they will get around the 2nd Amendment. They will claim it is for public safety and some liberal judge will approve this nonsense.

That's correct, but I've only seen them ask for ID for alcohol and/or tobacco if you obviously look under age. I've never been asked to show ID in the last 35 or so years.

It's always been a crap shoot for me. Sometimes I get asked, sometimes I don't. What I don't understand is how they would be able to set up a data base of people who both own guns and consumer alcohol and or tobacco. They can't even get an ammo data base set up.

NY State will "control" the sale and distribution, therefore they can call it a "controlled" substance. They have a habit of twisting word definitions to fit their agenda.

The only reason he started talking about legalizing it this time was to get votes because that was one of the main things Nixon was campaigning on and so he had to flip real quick to be "pro" and now that he won he is going to flip again as he has shown already

Nothing more than State sponsored vice, an oh, if you have a problem, just call this 800#... I remember when they pretty much laughed at casinos on Indian Reservations. Lol, then these States all jumped at allowing casinos so they could grab $ they couldn't touch on Indian Land.

But getting a medical prescription certainly isn't going to require you to relinquish your 2A Rights! It would just be easier for them to have some junky file a complaint against you (red flag)... Then they'll come No Knock Warrant your ass! Lol (kidding)...
