Because people want to read a law and try to use common sense with it so that they can use it to their purposes as if the laws are written with common sense in mind.@willyjr75 why do these threads always seem to turn into Willy vs the world lol even when you come in defending people they even seem to turn on you
Sorry man that just has to get old having to take everyone one
I did not know. You've never told me. Semper Fi.Tomato, Tomahto

It isn't a code that needs to be decoded. It's supposed to be as it stands and is written so that a citizen can read and follow them. But hey. Let's use semantics as an argument to get me. I'm the enemy here and not the actual law as written.
If that's what you believe then go ahead and believe it. Who am I to tell you different. People will believe what they want to believe anyways.Don't be silly Will, I appreciate your willingness to debate these issues that are to me like eating the same meal for the last fifty years. Its not semantics, these laws are written in a language that is open to interpretation and intentionally done so, look at the way even a simple law is interpreted on this forum. Legalese is indeed a code and in order to understand it you have to be a member of the club. The rest of us have to pay them to explain it to us, and even then they are exempt from blame if their version gets you in hot water.

I believe...a suppressor on a muzzle loader is dumb.If that's what you believe then go ahead and believe it. Who am I to tell you different. People will believe what they want to believe anyways.
It's not a gun. Its not subject to '34 or '68.Nope. It's a poorly written law once again. You'd have to say it isn't a gun and defend that in court and convince a judge and or jury.
As per what? Can you quote that in the NY Penal Law?It's not a gun. Its not subject to '34 or '68.
You can buy it in the mail, so its not a gun since its not subject the '68 GCA.As per what? Can you quote that in the NY Penal Law?
Carry that in a post office and then tell me it's not a gun.You can buy it in the mail, so its not a gun since its not subject the '68 GCA.
So state laws supercedes county law. Federal law supercedes state law. Get the point. If your county tells you that it's ok, but the state says no you can't.Not one spot on my license says concealed
And hell this is the letter that comes with our licenses here in chemung (from the judge through the sheriffs office)
