Would having a collapsible rifle in a saddlebag of a motorcycle legal in NY, am I transporting it or would it be considered concealed
I’m actually worried if it might be considered concealed, which I doubt being a motorcycle is a vehicle, just not sure how cops view it. I was also thinking of taking my bike to the gun show today, looking to get a folding 9mm, forgot the manufactureAs long as its unloaded, not in the city and NY legal I see no reason why this is any different than having it in a case in the front seat of your car.
Why are you worried about "concealed" long guns?

There nothing wrong with concealing a riffleI’m actually worried if it might be considered concealed, which I doubt being a motorcycle is a vehicle, just not sure how cops view it. I was also thinking of taking my bike to the gun show today, looking to get a folding 9mm, forgot the manufacture
Any time a long gun is in a sleeve or case it's concealed, Hell in Rochester we have a city ordnance that long guns HAVE to be cased when out in public. I have no idea if it's enforced.I’m actually worried if it might be considered concealed, which I doubt being a motorcycle is a vehicle, just not sure how cops view it. It’s actually the barrel that folds, sold in NY so I would think that it’s legalJust FYI folding stock is NG in NY if rifle is semi auto with detachable mag... unless you're exempt...
Im sure you know this but the rifle shown in pic would not be legal in NY. Would need to be configured with 16" barrel, no comp, no threads and no pistol grip among others...Like this? Pretty cool.
Again you can conceal any gun you legally own in NYS. Riffles need to be unloaded and Out of reach of ammo so in your case I’d lock up the ammo or buy it at the range. Otherwise go anywhere except NUC as stated and it’s legal.

Of course. I’m assuming the OP’s riffle is a legal NYS configuration since he said he purchased it in NYS. I’m just trying to figure out what the foldable barrel is like since I have never seen one.Im sure you know this but the rifle shown in pic would not be legal in NY. They come with a shark fin type attachment to the gripIs that a Keltec Sub2000? It doesn't appear to be NY compliant unless that mag is fixed (then how would you load it?) or you're exempt. Anyway good luck with it.
Cool riffle. Packing it and traveling is fine as long as it’s not loaded and the riffle and ammo are not in reach of each other to be safe. They come with a shark fin type attachment to the grip
Well, if the OP doesn't get shot he might be able to sue for a bike upgradeLegal or not, you could still make some twenty-something trooper poop himself and find yourself staring down the barrel of his gun as he is shouting frantically at you to get on the ground. Just keep that in mind and try to get it on video.
You sure about that? Isn't Keltec sub2000 internally suppressed requiring tax stamp in most "free" (heh) states? What about threaded barrel? Not sure if "shark fin adapter" makes pistol grip compliant but who knows. Yeah cool gun. Just not sure if GTG in NY.Cool riffle. If you have the shark fine it should be considered featureless and acceptable under NYS as long as the stock isn’t adjustable.
OK but it also has a threaded barrel no?The KelTec Sub 2000 is not NY legal due to the fact it has both a pistol grip and a detachable magazine. From what I understand the shark fin grips do count for compliance in NY.
Also the Sub 2000 is not integrally suppressed. It has just a normal 16" barrel. I think there was a an integrally suppressed version presented but I'm not sure if it was actually produced. It's not a standard model in any case.
I think the KelTec SU-16CA would be the better gun for the purpose anyway. If one is willing to gamble on KelTec quality that is.

NY has this nasty habit of calling any gun "loaded" if you have ammunition for it anywhere in the vicinity. As long as its unloaded, not in the city and NY legal I see no reason why this is any different than having it in a case in the front seat of your car.

Didn’t look like it in the picture, but I could be wrong.OK but it also has a threaded barrel no?
