Gonna hurt some feelings here, but i don`t care.

So, i and many others, are on the hook and taxed to death, for others problems that "they" created?
Sorry bubb, someone else`s kids and schools are not my problem, and i shouldn`t have ever been a endless money pit for any of them to pull from.

Maybe people who don`t have kids in school, that have to pay for everyone else`s kids education/transportation, need a 100% school tax refund.

That same reasoning could apply to everything we get taxed to death over. I don't get arrested, so I shouldn't have to pay for the cops. I don't use parks so I shouldn't have to pay for them. I don't do drugs so I shouldn't have to pay for all the handouts for junkies. I pay for my house and food so I shouldn't pay for wellfare.

I don't disagree, but its not a winning argument.

They would be better off getting a fleet of these for the kids to ride to school on.

I do agree with you Kev. I just don`t like it when someone else wastes my tax dollars on foolishness. Have you seen what they`ve been doing to these kids in these rotten schools? They are turning their brains into mashed potatoes! When they get out of school, they are worthless beings in society that we`ll have to pay even more for.

The school district I pay for recently put an electric school bus in the budget ( which , as always I voted no on). Current they are out shopping for the "new and shiny ". What an embarrassment. Christ, we just got finished building an auditorium for millions.

Used 3x a year. What a waste.

When the question was posed on a local forum who pays for it the liberals literally said " Noone. It's just a bond". Holy shit they are morons.

It there money, it’s for the kids and to save the world. Also remember they say the grid won’t be compromised but then the vehicle won’t charge so what good are they.

We just built a million dollar playground as part of a school rehab. We were asked to vote for a temporary increase once to save money in the long run. I said ok makes sense and this was three years ago. The school is now finished and now our taxes increased because the debt payments started. Wait a minute I already paid for it. I voted the last two 10% increases down but I was in the minority and they passed. This year we voted to be able to spend more money and take on more debt. People are stupid and it will never change here.

Another point to ponder. Many districts have an early and late morning/afternoon runs for elementary and middle/high school. The same busses are used for both runs. Not to mention 2-3 or so buses used for boces and let's say another one or two for miscellaneous runs. Depending on charge time, EACH run will require it's own sets of busses. Quadrupling the amount of busses needed. Even the wealthiest districts will be strained to afford and maintain that many busses.

If they actually wanted to make a meaningful difference, they would look into purchasing or converting busses to run an natural gas or propane.

I've been voting no on my districts budget for the last four or five years. Matter of principle at this point. School districts are almost as wasteful as the rest of .gov.

NYS has no concerns about costs, they are creating a new way to justify their spending and balance budgets.

These are direct quotes from a NYSERDA presentation titled
"Evaluation Criteria for Determining the Cost-Effectiveness of an Update to the New York State Energy Code"

" In determining whether the code remains cost effective, the code council shall consider (i) whether the life-cycle costs for a
building will be recovered through savings in energy costs over the design life of the building under a life-cycle cost analysis performed under methodology as established by the New York state energy research and development authority in regulations which may be updated from time to time, and (ii)secondary or societal effects, such as reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, as defined in regulations."

B. Proposed Societal Effects
Societal effects can be calculated by assigning a dollar value to greenhouse gas emissions from the energy used in the computer
simulated buildings.
Societal effects would be quantified in dollars.

Wait until they try and pay the bus manufacturers with their Societal effects monopoly money.

I wonder if I can pay my taxes with Societal effects monopoly money.
