Governor Hochul’s administration is directing an additional $2.5 million to the New York State Police for expanding the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force’s (JTFF) reach, particularly in New York City, Albany, Buffalo, and Rochester. This move aims to bolster the State Police’s presence across all investigative groups and areas of the JTTF.

The governor’s initiative, which follows a series of Hamas terror attacks and subsequent rise in Anti-semitic and alleged ‘Islamophobic’ incidents, includes a significant financial boost. Hochul announced a total of $75 million in funding, with $50 million allocated to local law enforcement and $25 million dedicated to security grants.

Now when one buys a box of .22 you can be put on that list for further investigation in the form of a social media post. .. A slippery slope ... In this day and age folks get butt hurt real quick. I will use this as an example. I listened to a radio show a few weeks ago. A man who worked at a university said that he was accused of white privilege because he asked a black co-worker to be on time for work. He was in management making this observation. ... In today's climate of social justice this could be considered hate speech. .. Don't laugh. So he gets reported .... Albany sees that he has a .22 .... State police come and take away your .22 under this new law. .. They effectively disarmed another gun owner and perhaps charge him with a felony..
They can play fast and loose with this ...

I was thinking about the new NYS watching for hate speech thing. No doubt the feds already monitor this and other gun sites for hate speech, plus whatever else they believe they can hassle people over. And no doubt the feds also monitor Farcebook and social media sites for the same reasons. And I'd bet Chochul has already been doing the same here in NYS. She sees other political hacks bloviating about the Israel-hamas war and decided there's political benefit to do "someting". And she figures in addition to hate, she might be able to pick up on other "bad shit" that people here and on other SM sites might say. I doubt she's doing anything new. She's just going with the flow to appear relevant.
