In January, NYC assembly woman Rosenthal wanted to stop the coyote hunting raffles. Calling it a "game of glory". Mocking hunters as "blood- lust to kill."

Now NYC Assembly woman, Rosenthal recently released Prop A600 where she seeks to prohibit the state’s participation in artificial pheasant propagation activities. Rosenthal has a long history of attacking sportsman, and she isn’t going to give up anytime soon....

Anti-gun libs hate guns. Period. They're not going to listen to reason. They don't care if it's infringes our rights.
It's no secret that Rosenthal is anti-gun. imo, it's not just about hunting that she is trying to stop. She's trying to cut off our arguments for owning guns for hunting, etc. Two months ago, it was coyote hunting, now she's wants to stop bird hunting. What's next... How many times have we argued that our guns are for hunting, protection, or target shooting. if they stop our opportunity to hunt, then they'll go after the ranges.

From what Ive read in the past They either stopped release phesant if DEC Region 8 Rochester and southern tier or they no longer allow "reg people" to raise them and release them. cant remember which it is..I will have to back and recheck.

Funny there is a Ringneck along our road , the ONLY damn one Ive seen in a long time and all us on my Road have agreed NOT to hunt it cuz hes a "good Looking Cock"!!

The DEC releases on Stewart and Vernooy. I was walking across a field while squirrel hunting in Stewart and flushed a pheasant. I was like, “ What a good looking bird, wait, I can eat that, damn, it flew away”

It seems like that already, when it comes to access to hunting property. Property access is a huge barrier to entry for the common person as you get closer to the city. Placed like Sterling and Stewart get pretty crowded. Even the local corners where I hunt squirrel are pretty crowed in opening weekend .

Sorry to say a small group of hunters give the rest a bad name .... Had a neighbor ask if he could hunt on our land for deer... His grand father and my father were close friends 70 years ago... I said yes .. Next thing I know 3 trucks pull up and about 15 people unload 3 ATV's and a swivel chair plus lumber ... They run through a pasture full of cattle and build a platform in a tree . Somehow hoist that chair on the platform. That chair was left in the tree and a few years fell to the ground .... Don't see any one showing up to haul it away. ... Have a 8 ft snow bucket that someone put 3 slugs into it . It was sitting next to a barn that I enter often. .. It was about 100 yards from the road . ...After this who wants to let anyone hunt on their property. Or do I just get all the assholes wanting to hunt...

If I owned a large parcel of hunting land, I wouldn’t give anyone permission to hunt it, unless they were practically family.

This is the problem everywhere,no place to hunt if you dont own your own land.Happens at the fishing spots all along the river as well,closing their land to access spots to the fishing grounds because of the litter and no respect for the land they use.I would not even attempt to fish from shore anymore unless its the DEC boat access areas,which are fished out.

They should have the right to grant hunting privileges with discrimination based on only those that ask face to face, in numbers based on huntable acreage, and completely free from any liability law suit. That would open virtually every farm in the state to hunting. Hunters would have to abide by the rules the land owner sets, like no permanent tree stands as an example.
