Isn't this the a symptom of a bigger problem that actually the whole country is faced with? People living in the city dont want to/cant understand the lifestyle of those that live in the country. It used to be live and let live, but now in states like NY, CA, IL, the large city's decide much of the policy. What NYC wants it gets more often than not, and the values of those in the Bronx dont necessarily match with those living in Saranac Lake, or Wellsville

I took a poke at a coyote monday morning,, saw him just laying in the field soaking up the sun and warmth.. the best part is a scouted him while I was laying in my bed,, my 2nd floor bedroom overlooks the creek flats and a big corn /hay field across the creek.. My friend saw him Sunday morning as he drove to his farm , so I was on the watch for him.. I always keep a gun of some sort near the bed depending on what season is open, so it's currently a Savage varmit gun in .243 Win.. So I show my wife the yote before I grab the gun,,it has a very thick and dark coat, a great looking pelt.. the problem is he's at 400- 500 yards out and I have no idea where the gun will shoot at this range.. I usually just site 1-2" high at 100 yards.. the result a clean miss but I scared the shit out of him..
the above all happened in total naked morning glory to my wife's amusement..

Another stupid NYC politician talking out of her ass about something she knows nothing about. She has NO clue about the amount of damage coyotes causes.
She argues about the contest for the biggest coyote.. What's the difference when you enter a pool for the biggest fish on a charter boat trip.

Lots of city folk don’t approve of coyote hunting. The rabid coyote start showing up in Westchester and the Bronx. They jump right on board.

I was amazed how fast they adopted special early bear season downstate. The went from “How can you slaughter such a noble creature?” to “Fck those oversized raccoon!” pretty quick.
