How many forum members here use the NYHuntFish app? The Pocket Ranger app? I do love'em. Great to have your license and available tags on your phone, wicked easy to report your harvest(s).

The NYHuntFish app no, it shows the sporting licenses you have-legal to show DEC if you forget, the carcass tags you have, past reported carcass tags, and allows you to report your carcass tags online. Pocket Ranger shows a lot, it's a trail gps, closest public land, closest boat ramps, closest public fishing, hunting etc.

Please note that the app is legal to show DEC that you have a sporting license...Hunting Fishing Turkey Permit etc, but is NOT a substitute for legally tagging your game! You can, however, report your take instantly.

I had an account from before. is the purchase online license login different from this login. then again when I tried to create new account it new I already had an account so. I originally made an acct earlier in the year to renew/purchase new license. I used those account credentials....... Im assuming linked as when I put in license # new I arleady had an account. and yes Im logged in with that account and shows no licenses.....

were those kills reported by phone (call) too that showed up..then again I only have 2 so far. HAHAHAHA and I remember them vividly.... ( have not been hunting too long but enough to know stuff. I will wait and see if it takes some time to load the data?!

yes looks the same on my phone as well and I used the login from the account I created from the Internet link provided. fromm the internet account link I login in and allows me to purchase additional licenses and report Harvest Info. and show my hunting ID on the Upper Right with my name and all that so I see it is truly linked to my hunting ID and license so. Hmmm I dont know. Again maybe if I wait so. Then again the online login I go to reports and there is previously issued licenses and its blank. Hmmm my license is current.... I have small game big game and a a cluck cluck stamp.....

You CAN buy your NEW hunting license on the app, but NOT until they are available for sale for the upcoming new season (August 2018). The app will NOT let you purchase an additional license (i.e. 2 Hunting licenses for the same year) because you already have one for Sept 1,2017-August 31, 2018.
