These optics are to prepare the soon-to-be-oppressed in NY from trying to acquire guns from "other sources" once the tyrannical and unConstitutional bullshit goes into effect.

They know they don't have a snowball's chance in hell of stopping people from getting guns. And by turning millions of once-law-abiding in New York into criminals they must realize that it removes any incentive for these people to remain law abiding.

Only one of the guns was a “ghost gun” without a serial number.

The original investigation was sparked by a Springfield Gardens resident who called in a tip about gun sales in the neighborhood, said Inspector Brian Gill, commanding officer of the Firearms Suppression Section.

“The average price was $1,035,” Gill told The Post after the news conference. “Typically people charge double retail on an illegal firearms purchase.”

From the news conference video Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz states:

"I wanna be very, very clear. This case is not about legally purchased firearms held by law abiding citizens. We are speaking about illegally smuggled weapons, handguns easily concealed as you can see, many of which are equipped with high capacity ammunition feeding devices. Weapons intended to be sold illegally, and resold and possessed by the drivers of crime right here on the streets of the city of New York...."

Not sure exactly what to make of the statement but it sounds like there could be some behind-the-scenes sensitivity over the optics of a large gun confiscation/recovery. The preemptive clarification appears...uncharacteristic.

Almost makes me feel warm and fuzzy that they are not considering law abiding citizens to be criminals...this time.

Sounds like the statement gets to the bottom of the cause so why are they going after us?

The good news is that they only got 182 guns over 2 years of investigation.

The number of guns trafficked must have been in the thousands...............and plenty of %$#&*()$ ...GET THE DRIFT??? likely got tips on where and who to buy them from on the sly, as backups and for personal use.

The rest of the thousands in NYC are residing in the possession of people, who clearly carry them for self defense purposes in dangerous situations, mostly successfully , I may add...............the shootings that occur like in chicago, are usually related to the profession of drug related activities.
The guns are actually legal, there has never been a gun convicted of a crime yet.

The Fed training class, like 2017-35C, is for the 17-22 year old drones who are trained to be the mass shooters, and have nothing to do with supplying inner cities with weapons.................. If there was no demand, there would be no supply.
