And sooo many self employed individuals worked thier regular schedule. Due to being considered " essential ( construction was considered essential )" my employer continued to have us work....We felt entitled to it bc they treated us like covid never happened. We worked regular schedule. The surrounding towns an cities all got compensated. Not us. Also Most people do get raises every year. White collar jobs call them a bonus.
Making hospital beds
Making sterilization rooms
Making additional ER space
Making Nurses stations and Reception areas
In hospitals filled with covid patients. Know what we got?
Not a dime if that covid relief money. You know what I expected from it?
Not a dime. Really, the best thing I got was recognition from the president for all construction workers forging forward helping arm those with the skills to assist sick individuals.
So, pray tell, with all the risks you took back then ( in my eyes extremely minimal) why would you deserve more?
Entitlement is the only answer. And it's sickening.
