You should have said "... even if their actions were 100% legal .".
Just because something is legal, (as per the law/legislation, etc) does NOT make it right (morally or socially acceptable; proper/correct).
There is a huge difference between the two.
Specifically, they mentioned Saratoga county and thier judges actions between September 1st and April 1st, 2023. ( watch video for greater detail). As NY has over 60 counties, hence unfortunately 60 different applications of a PP scheme, I don't believe this is a blanket application across all NYS counties, but rather that in Saratoga. The video by GnG , usually a great 2A channel, most likely fails to know this is for Saratoga and ( let's hope) doesn't necessarily apply to all of NYS.
I expect other issuing authorities to follow suit, unless a court puts the brakes on this nonsense. Judge Murphy is pointing out that the changes in requirements take effect 9/1, but there is no way to satisfy those requirements until the courses are defined and become available. As usual, the brain trust in Albany is unable to produce consistent legislation.
I was correct in how I worded it. Police officers will get civilian complaints even when they are 100% right, and not just within their legal bounds. This ^^^^ is the problem through pages of bullshit. You're confusing "right", as in: proper, correct; with "legal".

NY county clerks question feasibility of enacting gun permit changes
The governor’s office responded with this statement.spectrumlocalnews.com
Ok, so we have more complying . Yeah that'll help… fuck’n idiots
The governor can remove a County Sheriff a DA or Clerk from office, and a County Judge with the backing of 2/3 of the state senate which they have in NY. So the appointments could or would be worse!

A clerk with real balls would start ignoring ambiguous requirements. If it's not clear what we need to do, we'll just not worry about that part.then drop the damn PP if its so confusing and no funding .. and become like Indiana .,. NYS could be #28
and then i woke up .. lol ..

We have no further comment given pending litigation.”NY county clerks question feasibility of enacting gun permit changes

1791 is a bunch of bullshit too. I tried to attend one of the meetings and they wanted my name, address, and phone number to enter. I asked what they were going to do with the information and they couldn’t tell me. I said I’m not signing in this was marketed as a public forum and I was told if I don’t sign in I can’t enter so I left. They are dead to me.The people from SCOPE who gave a shit ran from the cluster fuck and formed 1791 in Erie County. They're a PAC and not a non-profit like SCOPE. In a sense SCOPE grew too big to manage as a volunteer group.
Dude. Sign in as Alfred E Neumann or Wile E Coyote. They're screening for trolls. If you sit back and listen they won't have a clue who you are.1791 is a bunch of bullshit too. As I predicted An Orthodox Jewish gun club takes aim at NY Gov. Hochul’s new gun control package - Jewish Telegraphic AgencyHouses of Worship are free to determine their own tolerance for concealed carry. Separation of church and state. I don’t think synagogues are going to be too happy with this either. I know for a fact that the Jewish community believes strongly in the right to self defense

After reading the article it sounds like this group is more of an outlier. Many Jewish communities apparently support heil hochul's oppression.
I think there is are first amendment challenges here:After reading the article it sounds like this group is more of an outlier. Many Jewish communities apparently support heil hochul's oppression.
Irony at its finest.
I think there is are first amendment challenges here:
Freedom of Religion - The practitioners of a religion should be free to decide how to conduct the affairs inside their respective houses of worship as long as those activities are in keeping with the U.S. Constitution. Overly broad state regulations should not dictate rules for private institutions.
Freedom of Assembly - People are free to congregate in private areas for legal activities without intervention by the government. The government cannot regulate activities that are legal according the the Constitution.
Making the state's default position "no guns" unless a sign allowing guns is posted is essentially compelling action by private businesses. Private people are being compelled to ban guns from their private businesses unless they post signs to the contrary. Compelling an action in order to be in compliance with the second amendment should be illegal. The default position for the 2A in the United States should be "guns are allowed" unless someone is in a "historically sensitive area" or unless a private person wishes to dictate their private policy over their private legally-controlled space. In such instances, citizens may post signs indicating their personal, private, business policies.

The Village of Bath Police Officers have been instructed not to arrest anyone with a valid NYS concealed carry pistol permit for possessing a licensed handgun in our Village public parks or public playgrounds. The police cannot be everywhere and your right to protect your family and others is our priority. Many other locations forbidden for concealed carry in the new law will be referred to the District Attorney’s Office for prosecution instructions prior to arrest. Thank
