Cons of weapon lights.
-muzzle pointed at things you do not intend to shoot. (Violation of safety rules)
-shooter can target your light (you can't do this)

The proper usage of the weapon light is to be able to identify/confirm your target before you shoot. In other words your gun is already pointed at a perceived threat and you flash the light for final verification before you shoot. It is not a search light. Thats why its recomended to have a hand held light as well. That's why the ring caps interest me. One light could fill both roles, maybe not perfectly.

Beat me to it! I have one and like it very much. It's held up fine so far (about 500 9mm down the pipe). It also adds very little weight and no length.Ha! Glock 26 has a weapon light if I so desire. I don't need no stinking rails!
