Blame the ATF not the manufacturer. "AP" pistol ammo ban is ridiculous. All gun control is ridiculous. Ridiculous guns like the above merely highlight the absurdity of it all.The ATF's ban of cheap ammo from Norinco was a direct result of Olympic Arms releasing their AR Pistol in 7.62x39.
Not blaming the manufacturer, the numerous gun groups and ATF told the manufacturer if they produced a pistol in 7.62x39 they would stop the import of the Norinco steel core ammo because of the "pistol armor peircing ammo ban."Blame the ATF not the manufacturer. Roger that. I can concur with that. Not blaming the manufacturer, the numerous gun groups and ATF told the manufacturer if they produced a pistol in 7.62x39 they would stop the import of the Norinco steel core ammo because of the "pistol armor peircing ammo ban."
Olympic Arms said FU to the ATF and they proceeded to carry out their threatened action banning the Norinco steel core ammo. I blame the gun community as a whole for the rule change that lead to the ban. It is the same BS the ATF tried to do with the M855 ammo a few years ago. Luckily this time the gun community stuck together and fought the ATFs rule change.
The gun industry and community did not fight the rule change in the 90s and that allowed the ban to take place. The FUDDs in the gun community and the manufacturers didn't care because no body needs the cheap imported SKS and AKs anyway. The old saying if we don't stick together we will surely hang separately applies.
It is much the same with the term assault rifle/assault weapon, the gun community adopted the liberal's terms as a selling point in the 90s and look where the libs have taken it. We live with made up definitions, bans and threats of bans because the gun community didn't push back on nonsensical terms that only had political definitions.
The 89 assault weapons import ban was a result of domestic gun manufacturers wanting to get rid of the competition. They didn't put up any fight because it would help their bottom line. The Bush administration was weak and could have been easily swayed against the ban had any of the industry used their economic and political leverage to fight the import ban. The manufacturers are not innocent in any part of any bans, they play both sides of the field when it suits their bottom line.
We need to stop compromising and allowing the left to define things. You see now NY and WA Are racing to see who can come up with the most redicoulus definition of assault weapon.Roger that. I can concur with that.
Get ready for a dramatic increase of such nonsense. After being stymied in their gun control efforts, ammo control is the next thing.
We need to stop fighting the left on the issues and go after them directly.
Get rid of the left and the rest of us can live in peace. We need to stop compromising and allowing the left to define things. You see now NY and WA Are racing to see who can come up with the most redicoulus definition of assault weapon.
