I had looked into an AR from them back after SAFE passed, and they said they wouldn't sell to ANYONE in NY if they couldn't sell to the regular guy. I appreciated the sentiment, but then when looking at reviews, their AR's got pretty sad reviews. And I wasn't in the market for a 1911 at the time.
I think now that we've got Trump in office, we'll see some of the AR manufacturers start to thin out.

I would expect the firearms market to cool down for a while. Yes, I know the libtards are buying guns, but not nearly at the levels that conservatives buy them I would imagine.

With Obama in office for 8 years, and the Dems seeming like they'd be in power for the foreseeable future, there were still a lot of people (like me) anxious to get their AR stuff before it got banned. I think more than a few were willing to take anything that was in stock. Now that there's not so much of a feeding frenzy, if you have someone like Olympic, whose ARs didn't get great reviews, they may not be able to stay in business.
On the other hand, probably no new AWB coming up, so why wouldn't everyone want a piece of the pie?

Maybe. I could be completely wrong, but it seems like things are cooling. Manufacturers that don't have a top-notch product may not survive the drop-off.

considering there are whole bunch of AR and AK manufacturers out there, those with a bad or tarnished reputation will go OOB rather quickly.
Especially those that have only a one or two products. Companies with a diversified product line will probably survive.

Firearms related sales have been on a boom cycle for 8 years thanks to the former salesman in chief. They need to take a break.
I'm pretty sure everyone blew their budget while they could when the Hildabeast looked like a possibility. It'll take a while for the "entertainment fund" to reload for the next round of purchases.
Maybe there were a few who were confident in Trumps victory and planned to wait for the frenzy to subside and take advantage of the inevitably better pricing, but I think they were in the minority.

The AR market got HUGE in the like 5-6 years and companies got left in the dust. Im suprised Bushmaster is still around. 6-7 years ago Colt an Bushmaster were the number one AR to buy.

They did have a bad rep back in the day but the K16 AR that I used to own never gave me a bit of trouble and was a hell of a lot tighter than the DPMS that a friend had.
