That's the same (and untrue) trope that we've been hearing for years now when in reality states are becoming more and more free when it comes to 2A. Can you tell me where it has "spread"?

Sorry guys but y'all are a lost cause. Nuke NY, obliterate everything.
I don't actually think NY is a totally lost cause.Totally agree. NY is a lost cause. It's unfixable.
NY residents have 3 realistic choices
-Stay in NY and comply with new laws
-Stay in NY and quietly non-comply with new laws just go about your business quietly as you morally see fit.
-Leave NY go to a free state and once there fight like hell to keep your rights.
Sure sounds like the definition of insanity to me, making her mentally incompetent and unfit for her position. The same exact thing.

Yup, he is actively pro 2A so it's like singing to a choir. My state Senator is also pro 2A but still got an earful from me.Has anyone been in contact with their assembly member? Complaining on here does nothing…

It is harder when we get older. We would absolutely be looking right this moment (which is in fairly stark contrast to my posts on this topic even a year ago) but I really do not want to disrupt one of the kids for three more years, unfortunately. We're doing well here but wife's career is such that a move is becoming increasingly necessary if she wants to keep growing it. A colleague of hers with a lesser title makes massively more in another state with a lower cost of living.IMHO, NY state is a complete lost cause, and not just because of its' anti 2A laws. The business climate sucks. Taxes, taxes, and even more taxes. Corrupt politicians everywhere. Shitty roads and potholes. Cost of living. State surcharges on all kinds of things.
I got out after 60 years, and will never move back. Now, I hope my children will move out of NY someday. Leaving friends and family; closing my businesses; and leaving my home state that I loved was NOT easy. It was actually brutal. But my long term prospects improved, and my daily stress level dropped by at least 75%.
The older we get, the more ties that bind us, and the harder it is to make these kind of moves. My advice: GTFO now, if not sooner. To say NY state is toast is a gross understatement (ask comedian Rob Lederman about making comparisons to toast, and you'll know how fucked up this world is becoming). But, it is what it is.
Get out while you still can.

Virginia used to be solid red. No longer.
Florida has AWB bills in their state legislature.
Colorado has fallen.
Texas turning purple instead of solid red.

If recent precedents hold true, once enough states reach a concensus on liberalized gun laws the Supreme Court will bring federal policy in line and the remaining hold out states will be forced into federal compliance. This is exactly how it has gone down with every civil liberty issue throughout the history of this nation. This will be a long process but we are seeing progress. Reciprocity will be the first thing to normalize when enough states pass Constitutional Carry laws. Then someone who is a valid plaintiff will have to bring suit against a hold out state, that state will rule against and the plaintiff will need to appeal up to the Supreme Court which will have to rule in favor. Then the blue states can suck our cocks.
NOT WITH YOUR COCK A' DOODLE DICK!!
The critical step is for a legitimate plaintiff to file a suit against the state. If someone can prove in court, after tge forgone ruling against in tge NY court, thar they are suffering damages or harm as a result of NY immigration policy it could go before the Supreme Court eventually. We have to fight for this stuff. It takes time and money and determination. Nothing is gonna fall into our laps. What we need to do is start investing our money into these kinds of local and then federal court battles. It's bound to be more productive then funding national lobbying organizations. We have lost our power and influence to the left because they built up from the grassroots level an have a powerful vertical power base now. We continue to do nothing but expect others to solve our problems.Really? How's federal immigration laws working out? NY and kalifornia REFUSE to follow ANY federal laws OR rulings. NY is pure shit and should be wiped off the fucking map by our military. Oh ... nevermind ... our military is too busy getting fucking sex changes and learning how to be social workers. Scratch that idea.
Things will continue to get worse until 2A activists and the groups which allegedly represent them get involved with Democrat politics. There are opportunities for that in primaries this month. No-one is even talking about elections because that requires actual research and thought both of which are lacking in our representative organizations.
Keeping guns as partisan Republican issue will doom 2A in the state.

when the Federal Government sends your governor a bail out (prints fiat money) to get the state finances in line, during a scamdemic, but the governor literally shrugs his shoulder and INCREASES state spending by 22%, THERE IS NO HOPE!
Gun laws are the very least of NY problems. All laws will be moot if the state is bankrupt. In 10 to 15 years, when 60% of your income goes to the state for "social programs" let me know how that works out for you.
I don't have the time, nor the inclination to sit around while everyone stomps there feet, yells "unconstitutional" and then sits around and pouts about your lot in life.
Im going to go get my RV, and I. AM. OUTA. HERE.
