I hope that they do not rush the border fences. That will be considered an invasion and will be bet with force. But, who knows. The Palestinians may see it as a public relations win if they force Israelis to fire on "unarmed civilians" (who just happen to be hell-bent on destroying Israel).

Years of being forced to learn middle eastern conflict back in school and I still don’t get it. It looks like the same people fighting each other. Like North Korea fighting South Korea, I just don’t get it.

Its possible to have reservations about the founding of the state of Israel and still be critical of the palestinians. If they simply stopped trying to kill jews they would be in much better shape. But the radicals in charge keep the anti-israeli hostility perpetually on maximum.
The palestinians have been used as front line proxy warriors against israel ever since the country was founded. Currently it appears the iranians and hamas are the ultimate overlords but it could change in the future.
There is quite a shift in the regional alliances underway in the middle east. Unofficially (of course) it is Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia against Iran, Syria and a few terrorist organizations. It's a mess.
