My dad taught school for 50 years, my mom taught for 42 years, and my sister is in her 10th year of teaching. My parents and many of their teacher friends are appalled by all these liberals destroying a once useful institution.
My sister teaches at a very small, rural school. When this school year began, the principal told the teachers that ANY political talk or teaching in a derogatory manner would be swiftly dealt with.
Being a rural school the principal was mostly telling them not to show their huge support for Trump.

There is more truth to this than you know. For your sisters school, they (being conservative) don't feel it is right for the teacher to indoctrinate their students. Rather that the student should learn and come to their own conclusions.
