I never understand the logic of the lefties.
We don't trust the police or military because we think they are bad.
Guns are bad and only the police and military should have them.
A very good friend of mine who I have massive ideological differences with is a self-identifying crypto-syndicalist. He's also, actually, a very good guy and a hell of a shot.
He is also likely not welcome at my house if SHTF, depending on the nature of the shit and the fan.

I keep saying it, but the more and harder the left pushes it's bs the more people realize how much it's bs.
I get that sense too but I worry I'm fooling myself.
Frankly there is no "fixing" this without fixing our easy, decadent way of life. We used to be a country of revolutionary rebels, intrepid explorers, hardy frontier settlers. A nation of self sufficent society of rugged individuals. We have devolved into corrupted, dependent sheep.
First thing is to accept the plainly evident fact that the government cannot protect us. The police cannot protect us. It is destructive to expect them too. We are responsible for our own saftey and security.

I hear that. Everytime there is another shooting the cultural/political silt gets stirred up and no one knows how it will settle and what it will look like after. I worry a lot as well. There always seems to be an ebb and flow as far as making progress and having set backs, but the general trend I have seen has been one of people realizing it's not the gun and more people are arming themselves. The few that are hardcore anti-gun are simply getting louder and more annoying and also turning to more desparate means, which is concerning all on it's own. The label "ecoterrorist" comes to mind.
