Parkland parents launch a Super PAC to go after politicians and the NRA

Starting Wednesday, some Parkland families are raising money for a campaign to push the National Rifle Association out of politics and ban assault weapons, bump stocks and high-capacity magazines in the U.S.

Following the lead of their children, parents from the community where 17 died in a Valentine's Day shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School have joined together to form Families vs Assault Rifles, a nonprofit and political action committee founded to be a counterweight to the NRA. Jeff Kasky, the father of March For Our Lives' student activist Cameron Kasky, says the group is quickly gaining support and has already received commitments from "financial backers" willing to match grassroots donations.

“The NRA purchases for cash money political favors," Kasky said in an interview. "That needs to stop."

The organization, according to its website, was created to "remove the NRA from our political system" and fight for gun-control policies by amending the National Firearms Act of 1934

The problem is I’m starting to wonder if voting republican even does that anymore. I think they will pass gun control law before the midterm election.

I doubt it . The pressure is off despite the anti gun efforts. Heck I even saw a commercial of a congressman saying he’s with Trump. I was shocked.

Things are turning. I don’t think there will be the “blue wave” of election results and the republicans need gun owners to turn out to vote.

How about some politicians who are with the NRA grow a pair too. Rand Paul excluded. Start talking about all the good the NRA does. How three recent shootings, maybe more, were stopped with a armed officer on the grounds. Why the AR15 and all other semi autos, which they want to ban, are not to blame, etc, etc. IMO all you hear is NRA hatred from the other side. Mainly because the NRA is against banning the AR15 and other so called assault weapons. Alot more outcry from our side needs to be done. November elections will be here before you know it.
