I could only imagine the look on the face of the range officer that came upon this. He would probably just turn around and walk away without saying a word.

You do realize not all ranges have "range officers"
85% of the time I go to either one of the ranges I frequent I dont see a single persone, 10% of the time the only other person there is my dad with me and 3% of the time someone is showing up just after us it on their way out and 2% of the time I/my dad rolled up on a day we didnt know they had a shooting event going on

I will not go to a range if there is a range officer on the line. I know more than most of them, I can shoot better than most of them. I have very little use for them, at least all that I have met.

All public ranges have some kind of authority. You might never happen to see them when you go but they're around. The public range I used to go to was like this. I NEVER saw the people that were in charge there but others had. I'd spoken to quite a few people that had gotten fines for doing various things they weren't supposed to do. Unless you're talking about some place cut out in the woods an official range will have some type of authority. But I have my own land now and don't have to deal with the nonsense that comes with public ranges so IDK.

I think this may be the video that some of the earlier comments were alluding to:
I don't find much bias or subjectivity in his testing, or his conclusions since they mostly just consist of what he observed.

He has never really gone out of his way to definitively marginalize a certain caliber or type of firearm; rather he has addressed the nuances and characteristics inherent to a particular type. He seems like a humble and straight-forward "gun-guy" compared to some of the other personalities that are out there.

FYI, he was actually involved in a self-defense shooting (something he alluded to briefly in one of his videos but never fully described). And when he ventures into topics about CCW and self-defense, you definitely get the vibe that he is talking from deeply-seated views formed by personal experiences.

the range i go to .. local club here .. sign says paper targets only .. but there is 4 stations of skeet there too .. lots of broken clays on the lawn ..

us few pick up some clays and use them on the range .. . bring water jugs . ect .. but we clean up are mess when done ..

the club hosts the north n south scrimmage .. all kinds of breakable targets .. just clean up when your done ..

a few time we get someone yelling you cant do that . bla bla bla .. .. do you have the keys to the club ? no .. show mine .. FK off .. LOL ..

no RO's here .. just be safe .. have fun .. share the range and clean up after you shoot ..

I like this video. When I walk my dog at night, I carry my "Dog walking gun". Ruger LCR. No holster, just the pocket.
