They were like NY when AWB 1 came about. They are like NY now with bump stocks. Americans of today are all talk. At least that's how I see it.

Kentucky is 1 step closer to Constitutional carry as our legislature just approved non-permit CC. OC was always legal down here, and CC required a permit. The new law will allow anyone who can legally own a firearm to CC. The permit will still be available, for guys like me who travel around a bit to/through states that require a resident permit from my home state to CC in their state.

We also have Kentucky Constitutional law on our side. I can't speak about what may or may not have taken place during AWB1, as I was not down here. As for the bump stocks, I'm not sure even know anyone who owns one. I have heard and seen a couple of the guys at my gun club shooting full autos. I guess what I'm saying is they can enact any laws they want, the problem becomes enforcement. I'm pretty sure there isn't a LEO down here who will go against our state constitution.

Hell, I know quite a few of the LEO guys/gals personally, both through working at my LGS, and belonging to my club, they have all said the same thing; "not gonna happen down here"!! I have quite a few of the KSP from our local barracks who I am personal Friends with, and we head out to our range occasionally. These Folks have pretty much echoed the same thing. When we get to discussing the NYS gun laws, they can't believe that shit is happening in America. So like I said; they can enact any laws they want, the problem will be enforcing them.

I get that the 2 large cities down her, Louisville, and Lexington, may be different (I'm just guessing here!). BUT, we DO NOT allow those 2 cities to control the remainder of the state. Kentucky also was smart enough to limit our Governor to 2 consecutive terms. Kind of sounds like a good idea doesn't it??!!

Unfortunately, time will tell!
