Firearms Registration Act Introduced in Pennsylvania

The gun owner has 48 hours to update the State Police if they change jobs, phone numbers, addresses, or anything else on the application. If they do not update the State Police, then they could be prosecuted for violating the law.

The certificate which will cost $10 per firearm will expire after one year. The gun owner would have to start the process over again to renew their certification. This process must be done 60 days before the certificate expires. The procedure can get confusing for gun owners with large collections.

If a person does not appeal the decision within ten days, their right is forfeit.

It's really ridiculous even attempting this. PA actually enforces it's preemption law which pretty much shoots down anything right out the gate but there is already a law that specifically deals with registries (above). I think this is pandering.

The PA dems here are always up to something. Democrat "Governor" wolf and the Republican Senate are perpetually deadlocked. Fortunately Philly doesn't have the same overpowering sway in the state that NYC does. Pittsburgh is half dead and nearly irrelevant. Harrisburg seemed to be too mired in its own corrupted dysfunction to do much harm beyond its immediate surroundings.
