Broward county cops were covering up juvenile crimes (particularly at schools) in order for politicians to take credit for reduced crime statistics. The only problem is that crime actually increased once the criminals realized what was happening. They used juveniles because they knew they would be tossed back out on the street. If this is true this is really outrageous. But it isn't the first time I have heard of this. Colin Flaherty is an author who has written two books on the problem of crimes committed by black people. He had a youtube channel for many years until the politically correct a-holes that run youtube kicked him off for good. He still blogs on at www.minds.com. Flaherty has been saying for years that crooked cops and crooked politicians have made deals to stop arresting juveniles so they can brag about reduced crime rates. Yet criminal activity has not gone down and in fact it has gone up.
It looks like the shooter in florida was one of those kids who was constantly let off to keep crime statistics low. And now that policy has bit them in the ass. Disgusting.
I'd much rather have high crime with high enforcement than fake low crime statistics.
I'll also say what I've been saying for over the past week and a half: The blood is not on the hand of the NRA or gun owners. It's on the hands of 1) the killer, and 2) the myriad school officials and law enforcement agencies who knew they had a problem and chose to do nothing.
“As a standard Broward and Miami-Dade practice, when school law enforcement need to cover-up or hide behavior, they need time (when that behavior happens) to delete the evidence trail. As such the school policy -as carried out in practice- is more efficient with a 30 minute tape delay affording the school officer enough time to deal with the situation, then erase the possibility of a recording of the unlawful activity surfacing.
Building in a 30 minute delay on the CCTV system was one of those pesky add-on items that happened a few years ago when the School and Law Enforcement officials established the policy of intentionally not arresting students.
With modern technology it’s tough to hide criminal behavior, especially the violent stuff, when it is being recorded. Duh. Ergo the tape-delay was the best-practice workaround.”

Criminal obstruction of justice, institutionalized by local government, implemented as policy.
They’re dog meat.
There is no way to hide this now, the lawsuits will certainly bankrupt the county and maybe even the whole State of Florida.
It is way past time for the DOJ to send a special team (no Hussein Holdovers or members of the ‘small group’ need apply) to Broward County for a true federal investigation.
Except with high enforcement we are likely to get lower crime. That's why overall crime statistics have fallen in this country while the prison population has increased. Left wing morons with an IQ of a table lamp always get this wrong. They keep asking "why do we have so many people locked up despite the fact the crime rate is falling?" They have it ass-backward. Crime is going down because more criminals are being locked up. There is an actual name for this. It's called the "Fox Butterfield syndrome" based on a NY times reporter who wrote about this and just couldn't get his head around the obvious lesson.
Unfortunately the rate of incarceration and the people most affected are not politically correct facts. So we get politicians who say "we can't arrest our way out of this problem." Yes we can.
