Piss Poor Gun Show Scheduling

As if it was not bad enough when I realized that both the Albany Gun Show and the Westchester County Gun Show were scheduled for the same weekend, then I realized that they are schedules on the same weekend as are the AFC and NFC championships. Yeah, I realize the games are both on Sunday and the gun shows are on both Saturday and Sunday but I still have to wonder what in Hades were the gun show organizers thinking when they arranged their schedules to conflict with football playoffs!

I probably am going to be in Saratoga County at my brother-in-law Hans' place for the games but may have to run over to the Albany show during the first game to see if there are any good deals due to scant attendance. I just cannot imagine that the place is going to be very crowded with the games going on. Depending on timing, if I drive up to Saratoga County on Saturday, I may stop at the one in Westchester along the way.

I dont know why they did it on the same weekend as each other. It splits the dealers for sure.

The albany show has been that weekend for many years. Not sure if the nfl has been the same weekend in the past or not. If so the attendance has been great.

I choose guns over football anyway.

That's really not bad scheduling -- several years ago, they scheduled the Syracuse spring show on Easter weekend. Now remembered as the - ' the year the exhibitors were bowling in the aisles.'

I've always been, dare I say, militantly against professional sports. I have never watched them and never will. I never understood the point to watching strangers get paid vast sums to play a game.

Paying hazmat fees and shipping would be cheaper than driving to Albany. I'm going just to piss off the liberals anyway so I hope someone will have some decent priced primers.

my friend (and dealer) Nick will have about 200,000 primers with him at albany....and he will also be at westchester with primers.

I don't usually make it to any gun shows. When I've gone the prices have been meh, it is usually crowded, the lines are long. I can get the same stuff online without waiting, and probably cheaper.

Yeah, I never buy much. I pick up some stickers and targets at each show I go to. Gun prices are beyond crazy; sometimes I wonder if these dealers ever go to a store and see what things are being sold for. Ammo prices are stupid pricey. I go to handout with friends and run into people I have not seen in a while.

I am not a football fan. I have not watched a football game since the last Super Bowl. That said, I do go to my brother-in-law's place to enjoy the parties he holds each year on the day of the NFC&AFC championships. I enjoy the excellent company, the delicious food and the booze (if I am not the designated driver). I also am a patriot and respect myself. Just because you have your panties in a wad up your arse over the guy. Kaepernick, is no reason to imply I am not self respecting or unpattiotic.

Your suggestion that I should get my fill of NCAA bowl games seems odd. Someone could, while using your logic, imply that you support pedophilia because you say to watch those games. I will not imply such even though I seem to recall some football big got nailed for that a couple or few years back and an even bigger college football icon was shown to have covered it up. I imagine you are neither a pedophile or that you are supportive of them or that you lack self respect just because you watch those games or say others should do so.

The AFC @ AFC game is at 3:05pm on FOX and the NFC @ NFC is at 6:40pm on CBS. The Albany Show should end at 3:00 so as long as you don't stay till the end you should be able to get back to Saratoga in time for kick-off ( What part of Saratoga County does your BIL live? I'm in northern Greenfield Center. )

I have nothing better to do and I am not athletic. I am a useless sycophant and wait for the tv to tell me what to do next.

Or, I like football and guns. I didn't make it to the NFL despite my considerable talents, they excluded me based on the fact that I'm short and not a stacked pile of muscle who is fast as fuck. Once I accepted that, I decided to watch. I still stand for the anthem and shout FUCK YOU! any time I hear or see Colin Kaepernick, he's a pathetic hypocrite.

Also, because I love guns but I'm broke as shit, I decided to take shooting up as a hobby. Once I realized that I'll never be the next big thing in guns and won't get sponsored, I retired from gun shooting and just watch it on youtube.
