Is NY's pistol permit recertification process racist? Forms are only in English, DMV forms are in multiple languages. At the welfare office I can get an interpreter. If I call for food stamp information I can press 2 for Spanish. By not offering them in multiple languages NY is suppressing gun ownership to minorities, or are they setting them up so they don't respond?

Why isn't the form offered in braille?

Weight? Well they dont specify what unit...stones, kg, ton...I guess its your choice
Eye Color? they state to spell out your hair color because "Abbreviations like GR are ambiguous" My NYS drivers license says my eye color is GR...so my license is ambiguous?
Hair Color? Do they want your natural color or current color? What does one do if their hair is in the advanced stages of greying? What about alopecia?

If you recertify online spaced out at random intervals, you are doing the job of entering the numbers into the system for them without putting a strain on their system since it's spaced out.

If everyone waits until the last few days and mail them a paper form with return receipt requested, they get millions of forms all at once that someone has to sign for and someone else has to manually add into the computer.

Wait until the last few days. You'll get complaints from the postal service and the workers at the state themselves who will report that it's impossible to do the job of manually entering the information.

Make copies of the form you filled out and keep all postal receipts.

I'm quoting myself but doing this above is what made Canada drop it's long gun registry. One guy even sucessfully managed to register a soldering gun. They made it difficult and costly.
