Or maybe , " Cops shoot dangerous marauding land whale"Title should read cops stopped a threat. Just saying...
If you look closely, all those hollow points at his chest did nothing. This proves that energy dump is a myth and penetration is all that matters.
It was the shot on his right leg that put him down because the hollow point didn't have to go through so much meat.
Report said he was shot 40 times. 89% hit rate. I'd say that's pretty good.
Watch carefully. Towards the end you actually see a shot hit the left side of his chest followed by his right leg.Was a shot to the right leg in the report or something? If you listen to the shot that takes him down you can hear that it's a larger caliber round or rifle. Maybe a shotgun but most likely a 45.
He couldn't have been "poped". I didn't see white smoke.I couldn't hear the air hissing out when the fat guy got poped.
That's 24 bullets going somewhere other than their intended target!Reports say he was hit with 45 out of 69 shots with the kill shot being a headshot after he fell to the ground.
He couldn't have been "poped". I didn't see white smoke.
Interesting. I picked up a .38 recently. Will have to audition the rounds you specify and see how they feel. This right here is why I no longer will be using hollowpoints. Dollars to Donuts says that 3 shots from a .38 Special loaded with 158 gr semi wadcutters would have reached vitals and put him down quicker if the cop was armed with one.
It is now FMJ's or Monolithic bullets for me from now on.
Any flat point in 9mm and above would have have penetrated both sides.Interesting. I picked up a .38 recently. Will have to audition the rounds you specify and see how they feel.
OK, but without expansion. So your contention is that the puncture would do more damage, more quickly?Any flat point in 9mm and above would have have penetrated both sides.
Yes. In real bodies, the difference between a wound track with a round that is .355 inches in diameter to a round that expanded to .586 in diameter is negligible. You are talking milimeters. Energy dump is a myth as evidenced above. 25 rounds of .40 S&W did nothing to this guy and others you see on YouTube shot in regards to energy dump. Pistol round are just too damned slow to have meaningful energy dump.OK, but without expansion. So your contention is that the puncture would do more damage, more quickly?
Why in the shit are we getting pushed with this now by the media?? Happened in 2014.
