He was a lethal threat and the cops fired until sure he no longer was. Don't want to be shot 45 times? Then don't engage in high speed chases and then shoot at cops.

I'm barefoot a lot, and have been known to hop in the car that way. My kids were laughing at me because I'd told them about how we never wore shoes as a kid - even when we got stung be bees all the time. So we're back in UT at my grandma's house (just down the lane from where we lived when I was a kid), and I'm outside barefoot and guess what? Lol. Earlier tonight I was running through the woods with the dogs. Barefoot.
Yipes! UT does not seem like barefoot friendly country to me.

This right here is why I no longer will be using hollowpoints. Dollars to Donuts says that 3 shots from a .38 Special loaded with 158 gr semi wadcutters would have reached vitals and put him down quicker if the cop was armed with one.

Even then it would have failed to penetrate. They are all designed to stop between 12 and 18 inches when configured in hollowpoints.They need a bigger gun caliber

It would have been the same result with the the .357 SIG using hollowpoints. All hollow points except for a few (XTP) are designed to penetrate 12 to 18 inches. That guy had too much meat.
Only a solid bullet not designed to open up and parachute to a stop would have penetrated to his vitals. Even a .380 FMJ would have made it through. Those penetrate about 20 inches in gel.
Police used .40 S&W.

If you look closely, all those hollow points at his chest did nothing. This proves that energy dump is a myth and penetration is all that matters.
