I'll start. And pick the uncourageous answer of Compromise. I think he gets some, not all.
Pres T will declare an emergency. 11-1/2 seconds later, the 9th circuit will issue a stay. The next 11 months will be spent determining that Pres T does in fact have the authority to make such a declaration, but that the barrier itself cannot be installed because some bullshit liberal judge says it's against some obscure environmental law which doesn't actually saw what the judge says it does. By that time, the 2020 election season will have been underway for 6 months or more. The non-essential portion of the gov't will be re-opened a week or so after the case hits the 9th circuit, with neither side being able to say that they won. Both sides loose, although the media will proclaim that Nancy played the whole thing like a champion, and won in a landslide.
I think trump is the only politician with balls big enough to stand up to the dems and play their own game.
The dems have not been compromising at all on anything. I pray trump stands fast and holds the line. He cannot give in and not get his wall or barrier.
I can see some sort of a mega compromise, make all the DACA families legal and create a pathway for the illegals currently here to gain future citizenship while at the same time making a wall and stopping all future illegal immigration. I think this is the most likely outcome. It's the only outcome where both sides will be able to tell their voters they won.
I voted for conpromise
I think he would, but the dems are doing this purely for symbolism. If Trump offers that deal I will not vote for him.
So who will you vote for? Biden? Hillary? Michelle Obama? If Trump offers that deal I will not vote for him.
So who will you vote for? Biden? Hillary? Michelle Obama?
I guess it doesn't matter in this state since it'll go to a democrat anyway but if you lived in Florida for example, your vote written to someone that has no chance can single-handedly give the election to Joe Biden.Write in?
I see the stakes being much higher than even that.If the dems win, Trump's presidency is over.
I don't know if I'm saying it because it hasn't affected me yet (the shutdown) or because I like to watch things go boom, but I really want to see him bring everything to its knees if necessary. If this really becomes an issue of who will turn the wheel first, I'm perfectly fine holding on tight all through the head-on collision. This is borne in my belief that any shutdown is actually just a temporary blip anyway. Lots of hysteria, we'll get past it. He needs to think of ways to increase pressure on the dems. Watch what happens if we get to the point the food stamps stop.I'm saying big win. There is no turning back for Trump. It used to be about coming through on a major campaign promise and is now largly about who has the power. Trump has so much more to lose than the dems. If he is sucessful not only does he get the wall, but he breaks the dems. He establishes dominance and would most likely make them think twice about pulling bs just to obstruct him again. If the dems win, Trump's presidency is over.
