History revisionism not much different than book burning, that's for sure! Utterly ridiculous as these morons understand little about the War, it's History or the significance of the reason why there are statues honoring these people. All they've done is realigned the statues with their agenda and associated them with certain groups they want negative attention brought to. It's their current feel good agenda, to make appearances they're doing something. Poor little snowflakes! I'm surprised they haven't suggested BLM monuments be erected in their place!

I vote yes, I'm a firm believer in clearing your history. We should wipe it clean every 50 years and reset. Plow the whole land clear, burn everything till we're all naked in the streets. Then those who truly prepped can decend upon the rest and enslave them.

Usually I have an opinion about everything. But the CSA monuments I'm split on. Depends -
Was the US civil war purely about slavery?
Is the confederate flag a pure symbol of racism, oppression and segregation ?
If you can add resistances, rebellion and or self determination to the equation; then I say let the monuments stay. It's the south's heritage (good and bad).

I voted NO for a multitude of reasons...

One reason is my southern (Family) heritage.
No one in my family tree owned slaves, but they where killed (except for one) fighting against the Federal Army...
(It's part of our history) and no matter what your opinion is concerning the War of Northern Aggression... That fact doesn't change.

My opinion is that the Confederacy was fighting against a over reaching tyrannical central government PERIOD.
And I will leave it at that.

One of the other reasons that I voted NO is because of the fact that.
IMO the leftists won't stop at the confederate monuments if they get there way.
Next they will go for the monuments of our forefathers, after all they were also slave owners.
What is after that, The American flag, That symbol flew over the institution of slavery much longer than
the Confederate National flag did.

This sort of thing needs to be nipped in the bud. If it's not to late already.
