The ATF found a loophole . I dont agree with it . but at the same time, it does not infringe on my protected right to own a firearm.
A firearm is defined by law. Clearly a bump stock is not a firearm under any stretch of the definition.
Yes I see where your going with this. and I generally agree with it. A bump stock is not a necessity for a firearm to function, therefore it is not an infringement like banning barrels or triggers.
The ATF found a loophole . I dont agree with it . but at the same time, it does not infringe on my protected right to own a firearm.
Well based on the ATF they say it actually is a firearm.
Get caught with a bump stock and just a bump stock and guess what you now have an "illegal machine gun"

I dont think that is what they said. I belive it was more like owning an auto sear . which is not a machine gun either
So you are saying, let's say I didn't own a single gun, hell not even an 80%.
But then I ordered an auto sear off wish, I can't be charged with owning an "unregistered machine gun"
You see, it is the ignorant that cannot have a real conversation. Too much emotion with things. They always seem to want to inject into a conversation, stuff that has nothing to do with the subject at hand.
Some though, love having conversation based in truths and facts.
And he is the separation.
The whole machinegun law is unconstitutional in itself.
But banning bump stocks isnt?
I wasn't the one who classified the bump stock as a machine gun.. the atf did, therefor I should be able to own one
The law that its based on is wrong and unconstitutional
This is actually comical to read.
I am not disagreeing at all.
Bump stocks were just cannon fodder for the left. they meant nothing. He tried to appease the communist's, and thew them some red meat.
In reality, they weren't very good anyways, not many people had them , they were more of a gimmick or toy . It was Obama who attempted to pass a national assault weapons ban and couldn't get it through.

Well actually... If you ordered a drop in auto sear or lightning link or even made a device out of a coat hanger it would be an unregistered machine gun. Unless you got a tax stamp of course. I guess that's how the ATF can get away with the bumpstock even though it still doesn't ACTUALLY make it full auto. It's the same way a baffle can be considered a suppressor. It's all ridiculous.No. thats not what Im saying at all.

And just to be a bit more technical and confusing lol. You can indeed buy just an auto sear. But not a drop in auto sear (DIAS). You can also buy a full auto bolt carrier for an AK and a full auto sear for the AK too. All the parts and springs needed. This is because you would have to drill a 3rd hole into the respective receivers. And again it's all ridiculous. That was my point
So, you voted for Biden, because he was a better option.I agree with you on that. Officials that swear an oath to the constitution should be held accountable.
You have to remember: Trump openly supported the bump stock ban and "taking the guns first." Those words are permanently etched in my memory and any hope of him getting my vote for a 2nd term, died that day.

The GOP may have had a majority, but conservatives never did.I respect that. You make a good point but GOP led house and GOP president were a lame duck. Look at how much the Democrats got done under Obama when they controlled the chambers.
I admire your willingness to accept he is NOT the perfect candidate we were all hoping for. It's much more than I can say about the blind faith many give Trump.
I would be a vocal proponent of Trump if he followed through on even half of his promises. Hell, I'd have voted for him on the mere basis of charging Hillary. Unfortunately he turned out to be a bigger windbag than anyone up to this point.
The 2A doesn't say "guns" it says "arms".No,no. Thats not what he was saying. Your premises is correct. neither are considered firearms under the law , ergo they dont infringe on 2nd A rights
He's halfway to achieving "peace in the middle east".Agree, NO PRESIDENT EVER has kept more promises. To me President Trump is the greatest President this nation has seen in many a decade. Imagine any man trying to accomplish anything with 97% of the press negative, the opposing party 'pertner criminal is its attacks, the insanity of china commie lover Adam Schiff and the delusion of devil possessed Jerry Nadler all over your back every day (and ton more congressional lunatics).
He did an amazing job! Minus this virus he would have gone down easily as the greatest president ever - reelection would have been a landslide.
Moving the US Embassy to Jerusalem was HUGE!
Who can ever forget these clowns:

It doesn't really matter what you or I or anyone else in this state voted for. NY votes blue and changed their election law so the popular vote winner always gets the electoral. You and everyone else are so quick to say I'm wasting my vote, while you all make the same fruitless effort to vote for your candidate. So, you voted for Biden, because he was a better option.
Or you stayed home (or voted for Jo, which is the same thing).
Either way, even with all his faults, a Trump vote was far better than the alternatives.
Policy wise, I agree with Jo far more. But we vote for more than policy. Jo would not have fought 1/10th as hard, even if she could have gotten elected.
