All I know is BIDEN is now a HERO and SOLVED this issue.
They could wave that magic wand and pronounce "no restrictions "... The government wacos caused the mess and now they are claiming to fix itSooo, no hub outside the no drive zone?
Run the new tractors to shuttle trailers to the old tractors.
~50 mi. Round trip for the new, or less.
exactly what Im hearing. The Port of LA won't allow any trucks in, that are 2010 or older, period.Years ago the ports ran 24-7, trucks in and out at all hours, sometime around the obama erea there were a lot of requirements added for trucks to get into the ports. Engines had to be "clean air certified" and no idling, the trucks even had to be clean! All these restrictions and covid, I can see problems. I know a few drivers that used to haul 'cans' in and out of the East coast ports and they stopped due to this. It would be easy for big Gov. to stir the pot a bit more and create a backlog.
We have such a trade imbalance it would be a logical conclusion ... Ship coal to china .. Wait ... this is Biden First act was to cut off work on the keystone pipeline ... The elite's will not suffer from this mess.exactly what Im hearing. The Port of LA won't allow any trucks in, that are 2010 or older, period.
Also Im hearing and reading that China is having a huge energy problem. The CCP has cut back their electrical output because their power plants run on COAL!!! and they are running out of coal. Want to guess what country has BILLIONS of tons of coal, that NO ONE is mining? ya, America could be selling coal to CCP. I read that some province's are working only 4 days a week, they use to work 18 hours a day, 6 days a week. now they cut way back because of their energy issue.
Doubt it. People will still be comfortable. More expensive heat is still heat. They'll still have... Pizza delivery. Netflix. Robot vacuums to clean the floor. A cellphone that rubs their balls. Nobody is going to do shit.almost, January will be a turning point. When people have to spend 30% more on heating costs
Many people do not have any cushion in their finances.Doubt it. People will still be comfortable. More expensive heat is still heat. They'll still have... Pizza delivery. Netflix. Robot vacuums to clean the floor. A cellphone that rubs their balls. Nobody is going to do shit.
Especially with the price they paid for their house. Many people do not have any cushion in their finances.
If one of those things goes up 30% they are going to have to give another one of them up if they want to keep it.
Don’t worry Biden and Buttagig are on it. It’s already fixed I’m sure. The ports are a cesspool of corruption <read UNIONS>. Someone needs to clean house.
Unions and Demorats are "tight " ... They are laughing all the way to the bank... Only way to handle this is have the military step in by calling a national emergency . Look at all the stuff we landed in france after D-Day. ... We fought a F...in war for gods sake.... We can do this America..I think removing the government and unions from the process would speed things up as well.
That is assuming there is actually a desire to improve the situation.
I'm waiting for the news that something big happened...The ports are a cesspool of corruption <read UNIONS>. Someone needs to clean house.
Oh, the fix is in, you can count on that....Don’t worry Biden and Buttagig are on it. It’s already fixed I’m sure.
Mexico should receive them and hand the distribution off to the cartelsLooks like Florida is trying to get the delayed cargo ships to unload there.
It’s not just the unloading of the actual ship. It’s a lack of truckers to move the containers out of the port area as well. They should switch the port employees to a piece rate pay schedule rather than hourly.
I bet things would speed up considerably if they were paid per container instead of per hour.
How to fix in 30 days ..
disband
- BRANDON
- EPA
- CDC
- FDA
- WHO
- OSHA i forgot that one in another post lol
True, but they are already generally paid by the load/mile, so they are plenty motivated to hurry. It’s not just the unloading of the actual ship. It’s a lack of truckers to move the containers out of the port area as well.
Agreed. Or hire the guy with right credentials, have him drive a few miles away from the port, and hand the truck over to another driver, and go back and get another truck out of the port-repeat.True, but they are already generally paid by the load/mile, so they are plenty motivated to hurry.
It's just a plain shortage of them, but that one's easy. Just eliminate the BS rules causing the artificial shortage.
Let anyone with a CDL pick up at those ports using any truck that's legal over the road and that problem will be fixed very quickly.
