10 round AK mags (while great for the bench) suck for reloading and also don't really fit all that well in mag pouches

Obama Administration banned the imports of Saiga back in..... 2013? 2014?? This left Vepr for the only Russian made AKs in the U.S.
Then the trump administration banned the importation of Vepr rifles.
So shorter answers is, all Saigas that are in the U.S. right now (well back in 2013? 2014?) are all that will ever be available on the US market
Well, original Galils go for, what 3k or so on the secondary market? I'm just going off that and I belive there is a new company doing another round of Galil parts build rifles and you have the modernized Aces around. Maybe Saiga sporters won't get to the same level but the values will continue to rise above what they are now.

Saigas are just sporterized AKs made at the Izhmash factory (now known as Kalashnikov Concern)
Poly tech are also going for about 2,000 (Chinese AK)

Only people who pay high prices for these rifles are people in ban states the rest of the states just own normal AK's. I have had a few of these in my shop over the years and I sold most of them to NY residents and one to a NJ resident. PA residents are not buying these and if they were, they would not spend more for one of these when they can get two AK47's for the price of one of these.

Yes I know that as I have three and read the manual (in Russian). You won’t be able to get an official saiga, but were there is demand there will be supply. I just like them becuae they were cheap and always go bang.
At recent prices perhaps. I was under the impression that there was a booming trade in Saiga Sporter conversions before the import ban when they were cheap.
How can there be supply?? That doesn't make sense

Meaning saiga knock offs so to speak. Not the Official ones made in Russia. Unless you think people will pay a premium to have a legit made in Russia version (collectors item) clones will fill the demand. I just like them because they work. I don’t care where or who makes them however some others might.
That would not do anything to the value of actual Saigas.
Again go check out the price on a Norinco...
Also if saigas were banned in 2013 these clones would be all over the place...
There is only one company (Lee arsenal) (maybe a second one but I can't think of any others) that makes something similar to a Saiga... they haven't restocked their inventory in years

Well its what they are worth to me.
The idea of a real russian ak-103 internals is cool.
But its functionality not $1,000 cool.
I just found the ergos didn't fit me very well. Awkward to say the least ,but I won't trash it as a firearm, especially for people in ban states.
